The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the sacrament of baptism with the beautiful power of the Holy Spirit.
- The minimum age for this sacrament is a child in Year 6. Children should have received both sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.
- Candidates must be attending Mass weekly, pray regularly and have begun to live the life of a disciple of Jesus by responding joyfully to the proclamation of the gospel in their lives.
- In 2022, preparation for the sacrament will take place during term 1, with the sacrament celebrated on 17th and 24th May.
The Parent Information Night will be held on Tuesday 22nd February 2022 at 7pm in the church. It is compulsory that one parent/carer attends this important meeting with the candidate who is making their Confirmation. Attendance is essential so that families can collect the enrolment form and receive other important information regarding the Sacrament. You will not be permitted to collect a form for another family and no one will be able to take the form for your family if you are not present. If there is some urgent matter that you cannot attend the meeting, please contact the Parish Office ASAP.
